1. This Competition is a "one ball per couple" Foursomes Competition (Stableford). Half the combined Handicap Index of the two players must not exceed 30.0 on the date of the club qualifier. The handicap allowance is half the combined Course Handicap. In the event that half the combined Handicap Index exceeds 30.0 at either the Divisional or County Final, the couple may take part, but must play off half a combined Handicap Index of 30.0 2. A player may choose her own partner who must also be a member of the same club and must play with the same partner throughout the Competition. 3. Players belonging to more than one club must notify the County which club she wishes to represent for all County Competitions. 4. Members of the County who are not members of an Associated Club shall be permitted to qualify on application to the Divisional Representative. 5. A Qualifying Round MUST be played on the home course and the number of couples to qualify from each club will be: ONE couple per every 20 members of the County provided that a club with less than 40 county members shall always be entitled to send two couples. E.g. if a club has 75 members of the County it would be entitled to send three couples to the Divisional Final. 6. Divisional Finals will be played on a course in the Division. The number of couples to qualify from Divisional Finals to County Finals shall be 30% of the couples actually playing in each Divisional Final. 7. Ties will be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole(s) of the round and if a tie still arises it shall be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole(s) of the first nine holes of the round. 8. Qualifiers must be reported by 16th May 2025. It would be helpful if the Ladies' Contact would send in their returns on the attached form along with the entry list for the club qualifier as soon as the Qualifying Round has been played. 9. Prize vouchers will be given for the first, second and third best scores at the County Final and for Divisional Final winners. There will be no presentation at Divisional Finals; all prizes will either be awarded at the County Finals or sent to the winners. 10. The Divisional Finals will be played as follows: Monday 9th June South East & East Divisions Ashton under Lyne Golf Club Monday 9th June North West Division Silverdale Golf Club Monday 9th June South West Division Dean Wood Golf Club 11. In the event that any of the Divisional Finals are unable to be played on the date arranged, a draw will take place on the same day to determine which couples will go forward to the County Final. 12. The County Final will be played at Formby Ladies Golf Club on Wednesday 30th July 2025. 13. The entrance fee for this Competition shall be £3.00 per couple at the home club qualifying round. The £10.00 per couple for all couples who qualify for the Divisional Final should also be paid by the club and should be sent together with the qualifying return to the County as shown overleaf. So if, for example, 30 couples entered the home qualifying round, the amount paid for the entrance fee would be £90. In addition, if 5 couples were allowed to qualify for the Divisional Final, a further £50 would be required from the club for those 5 couples. A total of £140 would therefore be sent on the qualifying return to the County. 14. Players unable to play at the County Final MUST DECLARE this to their Divisional Representatives no later than 7 days after the last of the Divisional Finals, as there will be no substitutes after this date. In the event of the County Final being rearranged no substitutes will be permitted.
