iGolf and iPlay

England Golf aims to connect and engage with all golfers, with offers available to support those currently outside of club membership through iGolf and iPlay. 

Through connecting with a wider audience England Golf hopes to grow the game and provide a pathway into club membership.  

iGolf is an online subscription administered by England Golf, providing non-club members with the opportunity to obtain or maintain a Handicap Index® and receive personal liability insurance. All facilitated via the MyEG App, iGolf gives golfers access to their playing record and they can track their performance.

iGolf creates an inclusive approach by offering a Handicap Index® to all outside of club membership, which in turn helps influence their regularity of play, ultimately supporting the game and inspiring future club membership.

• There are over 42,000 active iGolf subscribers. 
• 79% of iGolfers have already obtained their Handicap Index®. 
• Over 8,000 iGolf subscribers have now joined golf clubs.

• 49% of iGolfers said the amount of golf they play has increased since joining. 
• 46% of iGolfers said they are likely or very likely to join a club in the future.  
• 46% of iGolfers said they typically play golf with club members.  

How can iGolf help your golf club? 

England Golf have created a platform for golf clubs to share their current offers, and opportunities to iGolfers at https://englandigolf.co.uk/offers-opportunities/. 

These offers and opportunities can include access to club competitions, green fee, coaching, or membership offers. 

England Golf will then promote your offers and opportunities to iGolf subscribers, through the iGolf website, targeted email communications and social media.

Launched in late 2023 iPlay is a free service from England Golf which is open to all outside of club membership or iGolf, making it ideal for someone new to the game, a growing enthusiast or infrequent player. 

iPlay is accessed through the MyEG app and  provides users with a way to collect scores from a range of venues, including rated courses. iPlay is all about having fun by submitting scores and knowing your average score. Please note, iPlay users do not have access to a Handicap Index®.

Iplay

iPlay provides an opportunity for England Golf to engage with an even wider market of golfers and in turn enables us to support golfers in taking the next step on their golf adventure, by communicating and educating on other opportunities. 

Golf clubs are encouraged to signpost any golfers outside of club membership and iGolf to iPlay, to support them in starting to collect scores and watch their game progress.
